Shortly after World War II Ruth
C. Bigelow decided to enter the tea business.
From humble beginnings, running the company from
a small New York apartment, the company has grown
into one of the largest tea retailers in North
America. Bigelow, however, remains a family business
with Ruth's son David and his wife Eunice, and
their daughters Lori and Cindi now running the
show. It has been 60 years since Ruth Bigelow
first created "Constant Comment" in
the kitchen of her New York apartment. Yet the
creativity and the desire for good taste and quality
she showed lives on through the efforts of her
children and grandchildren.
